Arnolds Loop in eastern Nevada just never gets old for me. I have been going there for decades. This shot shows an empty, eastbound, iron ore train rounding the Loop. It is headed for Iron Springs, Utah, west of Cedar City, for a reload. After loading it will backtrack around the Loop again and head for either Stockton or Richmond in California. That searchlight signal is now history, as it was removed during the signal upgrade for PTC here on Union Pacific’s Shafter Sub.
