Remarks & Notes

A trio of eastbound Conrail E-44s, with leader 4431 in Penn Central paint and operating long-hood forward, nearing Port Interlocking. The silver piping in the foreground is to the air-operated switch for the westbound Port Road connection to the Atglen & Susquehanna. The 4431 was built by General Electric for the Pennsylvania Railroad in February, 1962.
