Two steam locomotives simmer in the cool night air in mid February. One is about to depart with the railroad's passenger train, the Steptoe Flyer. The other, engine 93, is waiting for the passenger train to clear before it leaves Ely with a short freight. This staged scene was part of the 2015 Winter Photo Weekend at the Nevada Northern.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
