| Just days before Norfolk Southern would mothball the eastern end of its former Virginian Princeton-Deepwater District, eastbound loads met westbound empties between Algonquin and Clarks Gap at sundown. The mountainous climb to Clark's Gap from Elmore has taken its toll on the traction motor of the third motor and after a brief stop at the east end, the train will continue toward Princeton and Roanoke. Now, these very rails are void of any trains... |
