The CNJ 113 has things well in hand on the return trip of the 1:00 p.m. Santa Claus Special to Minersville. The only operating anthracite burner extant was built by Alco in 1923 and worked for the CNJ until about 1953, when it was sold to a coal company in Locust Summit, PA, where it ran until 1960. It was later donated to a preservation group in Delaware and moved to Minersville in 1991. Restoration began in earnest in 1999 outdoors by the old Reading station in Minersville, and by September of 2013, the locomotive was again under steam.
