Remarks & Notes

The Civil War locomotive Texas, involved in the Great Locomotive Chase with the General, is being removed from the Cyclorama Building where it has been displayed since 1927. The locomotive is heading to the North Carolina Transportation Museum, where it will be restored for static display at the Atlanta History Center by the Steam Operations Corporation of Birmingham, Alabama.
