Dropping into Pando, Colorado, on the steep 3-percent grade of Tennessee Pass is a westbound Rio Grande freight on September 8, 1992. The grade eases a bit through Pando, but will continue again leaving the west end of the siding all the way to the bottom at Minturn. Behind lead Rio Grande EMD SD50 No. 5515 are a Cotton Belt SD45T-2 and Southern Pacific SD40T-2.
