The 4407 and a sister have a 3rd E-44 dead-in-tow westbound upgrade on the long, curving fill leading to the Shocks Mill Bridge over the Susquehanna River. The approaches to the bridge actually cost more than the 28-arch (as-built) bridge itself- $600,000 vs. $400,000 in 1904 US Dollars. Sand-spray can be seen filling the air around the undercarriages, as this unit grain train grinds toward Enola Yard for a power-swap with diesels. Today, the line is de-electrified and sees little traffic.
