In an unusual turn of events, the TVA plant at Kingston has told NS they do not need the load of coal on 894. They do have a train of empty hoppers they need rid of. So the crew has pulled the train into one of the yard tracks at Oakdale, and the conductor is on the ground tying the train down via the handbrakes on the cars. The crew will cut-off the head end power (and leave the tail end DPUs attached to the train) and proceed to Kingston light, where they will pick up the empties to take north.
