Remarks & Notes
It is amazing how quickly things can change out here on the railroad. NS SD40-2 3435 built originally as PRR SD40 6100 in March 1966 and NS SD40-2 3430 built as KCS SD40 613 in October 1966 assigned as cycle power for the C28 local that shuttles interchange freight from Conway Yard in Conway, PA to Island Avenue Yard in Pittsburgh, Pa. Both units now are owned by CSX during a trade between the two roads and are being rebuilt to their SD40-3 specifications. The former PRR signal bridge is replaced by new signals due to it being knocked down by a Herzog crane this passed fall.
