Photo charters need preparation It can be interesting to see what goes on before a photo charter starts. Here, the former main to Maryland Jct. and points west and east is occupied by the passenger cars, pulled/pushed by a GP30, which will carry the photographers, while the yard lead sees "Mountain Thunder" pulling a photo freight out of the yard, heading over to Cumberland to start the day. The passenger train would then follow the freight across the river to Cumberland.
