AMTK P40DC No. 822 and P42DC No. 145 both painted in the Phase III scheme lead Amtrak's westbound "California Zephyr" through the eastern rim of Coal Creek Canyon. The train has just crossed over Blue Mountain Road and is currently going over the defect detector while climbing the 2-percent grade on February 24, 2016.
