With the faint glow of a million stars shining in the night sky, the old signal at Melrose, along the Saluda Grade, faces yet more lonesomeness as time simply bypasses the long abandoned stretch of historic railroad. One with an eye for astronomy will quickly recognize the constellation Orion, and even nebulosity in both the Orion and Flame Nebulas.
