| Metlink train from Masterton to Wellington arrives at Maymorn having just emerged from the 5.5 mile (8.8Km) long Rimutaka tunnel (longest in the southern hemisphere when opened in 1955.) Locomotives used for passenger trains through this tunnel are fire suppression equipped and, being on a passenger roster, are kept clean. |
