Iowa Traction Railway steeple cab No. 54 switches the AGP bean plant in Mason City, Iowa, on April 15, 2008. The size of the 50-ton electric locomotive built in 1920 is dwarfed by the modern covered hoppers it is pulling, which in turn is made small by the large grain elevator complex. No. 54 may be small, but it sure gets the job done—not bad for a 96-year-old!
