Remarks & Notes
L&N's CV Division Norton (VA) to Corbin (KY) daily through freight no. 66 eases by the old passenger station at Appalachia on a snowy morning. The F7/Alco FB-2/F7/Alco RS-3 mix on the point makes for an interesting photo subject. The rose garden in the foreground was still tended by the local garden club then---but it was just a patch of snow this cold morning. (colorized black and white)
