Gathered in front of the Bob Julian Roundhouse at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, Southern EMD locomotives 6133 (FP7), 6900 (E8), 2601 (GP30) and 3170(SD40) bask in the evening sunshine on the first day of the Southern Railway Historical Association convention, Friday May 13. The SRHA was started here 30 years ago, in a meeting room in the Master Mechanic's office in 1986. The locomotives will also be featured around the Museum grounds for NCTM's "Train Day" festivites on Saturday the 14th. Photo by Casey Thomason.
