Remarks & Notes

The fireman's long locks are catching the breeze as a westbound manifest parallels Water Street on the Enola Branch. Conrail is in its 2nd month, and the grimy Penn Central freight electrics only have about a half-decade of life before the "plug is pulled." Some of the electrics will be rebuilt with Conrail Blue paint applied, and the old PRR jointed rail will be replaced, but it's just not the same in "The Boro" anymore, with the trolley wire gone and most of the freight now using the NS Harrisburg Line to access the Northeast. No. 4410 was built by GE for the PRR in May of 1961.
