Remarks & Notes
E-44 No. 4444, still in its Penn Central paint scheme, is in the long-hood forward mode, pulling a grain train eastbound. My Washington Boro cousin's neighbor's boy has ridden his bike to the crossing to observe the action. Note the weed-infested right-of-way, in this scene from Conrail's 2nd month. No. 4444 was built by GE for the PRR in September of 1962.
