Remarks & Notes
Freight Power on Commuter Trains

Metrolink train 667, heading from Oceanside to Los Angeles, departs the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), the large silvery building that looks like an armadillo in the distance. Because Metrolink doesn't fully trust their relatively new Hyundai Rotem cab cars, they have leased, at great expense, a batch of BNSF AC4400CW diesels to operate on the cab car end of most of their trains. On May 28th, 2016, BNSF 5668 is leading this train, which was running late due to a bad grade crossing in San Clemente and "cascading problems" elsewhere.
