Remarks & Notes
The first ever locomotive of Switzerland was D 1/3 1 "Limmat", bulit in 1847 and withdrawn about 20 years later. For the festivities "100 Years of Railways" SBB rebulit it and it still exists today. Most of the time the locomotive could be seen in the traffic museum in Lucerne, but right now it's located in Brugg and back in 2010 it was under steam again. Unlike D 1/3, the Ec 2/5 28 "Genf", bulit in 1858, is still an original and arguably the oldest running steam locomotive of Europe! After many years at the traffic museum, 2009 and 2010 it was put under steam again - much to the delight of many railway fans. And in September 2010 both of these oldtimers were put in shape for the festivities of "150 years Arc Jurassien".
