MRL 290, near the end of it's lease by the EWG, finds itself leading the WRIX 8702 and the NIWX 9129 at the head of a scoot/shuttle train. The power has cut off from the train in order to pick up the cars seen on the right. These grain hoppers are in a shuttle service between the local elevators on the old NP CW branch out of Cheney, and the newly constructed unit train loader at Cheney.
The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
