This morning, while I was waiting in Port Byron for CP’s only train to run the Nitrin subdivision, I heard the voice of a young boy. Not paying much attention to the sounds, I took some test shots to see how my photos of the train would turn out. About a minute later, I heard a woman (who I guessed to be the boy's mom) say “Hey honey, I think I hear the train coming!” The boy responded saying “Yeah mom, I just heard the PSHHHT sound”, imitating the sound of the engine’s air compressor. Just as the engine got into the light, the mom, her son, AND their dog and baby girl in her stroller rounded the curve in the road, just in time for me to snap a picture. They waited for the entire train to roll past before continuing their morning walk.
