On what might be the last 611 excursion for quite some time to come, the might J-Class puts on a show as she pulls the Linden Grade! With a mighty 20 car train in tow, and after a near stall just west of here, the black smoke is non-existent as the 611 crawls by at a mere 10mph working up the near 2% grade. There's but 15 or so of us at this location, with one very familiar face 3 feet to my left; none other than Jim Wrinn of Trains Magazine as an amazing display of raw power is put on before us!
