Remarks & Notes
An old Milwaukee Road Conductor once told me that" there are derailments and there are wrecks....on the Milwaukee we have wrecks." This pile up was from an eastbound freight that picked the eastward siding switch at Columbus and piled um up across both mains and both sidings. The speed at the time of the derailment at this point would have been 60mph or better. I don't remember the particulars any longer of this derailment as I was not involved in this one.
