Looking more like Alliance, Nebraska in the late 1970s versus Upper Michigan in 2016, BN green dominates this view of LS&I's engine and car shop. From left to right are leased CEFX 1001/1012 (active), 3003 (missing its center wheel set on both trucks), 3000/3074 (active), 3011, 3006, 3053 and 3004, all stored. Also note a former Erie Mining (LTVSMC) locomotive crane at the top. I also noticed a large hopper used for diesel sand storage in the upper left, replacing two older black ones used here for many years. Cessna 172 Skyhawk.
