GN 599 is beginning to re-appear as restoration efforts progress on former BN 6126. This unit was the final SD9 locomotive received by Great Northern Railway back in 1958. It was part of a ten unit order, 590-599, and along with GN 598 were the only dynamic brake equipped SD9s GN bought. The two units spent their service life on both GN and BN in the Pacific Northwest, with much time spent around Klamath Falls, OR. It will be displayed near the restored Skykomish, WA depot and museum.
