" Lone Survivor" The last remaining Erie Railroad E8A sits quietly in the morning sunlight in Port Jervis, NY. Prior to its restoration back to its original colors in 2007, Erie 833 served with Conrail as CR 4022 (one of Conrail's OCS E8As). For now 833 is being stored here until further notice. It would be nice to see this unit operating one day in the future, but until then, its sits waiting for its time to come.
