One of Santa Fe's hot intermodal train, the 1-893-30 (Los Angeles CA to Kansas City KS), passes through Esperanza, on the Yorba Linda-Anaheim line. Esperanza used to be a remote location, covered in orange groves, but housing tracts drove the groves to oblivion in the 1980s.
