A freshly repainted SD40. VLSX 5232 may be the only 'straight' ex-CN SD40 still in service. It was repainted out of its faded zebra stripes during the past couple of months and sports a paint scheme very similar to that worn by SD40's on the New Brunswick East Coast not too long ago. Here it sits in the morning sun in the small Prairie Dog Central yard at Inkster Junction. Steam from 4-4-0 PDC 3 is visible in the background, it will leave with an excursion train in not too long, with passengers arriving to board the train.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
