| Exercising trackage rights first hammered out by Union Pacific and BNSF predecessors (Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railway and Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe respectively) a eastbound Union Pacific stack takes in last light before beginning the dash across the high desert to Barstow on BNSF's Cajon Subdivision. Painted to honor the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad UP 1995 is one of 6 SD70ACes painted to honor UP fallen flags. Hard to believe these heritage units are now 10 years old! |
