I managed one shot without anyone else in it of the 261's time in Glencoe, MN. I enjoy seeing steam locomotives, but honestly chasing excursions is not my favorite part of the hobby. Still, moments like this make it worthwhile. It doesn't take much imagination to suddenly think you're trackside for the arrival of the Olympian Hiawatha circa 1950. It's then you realize that you're not just looking at a train, you're watching a steam powered time machine.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
