The St. Louis railfan community was out in full force during the weekend of February 27/28 as the Norfolk Southern "Honoring Our Veterans" locomotive made a rare visit to the region. My friend Tim Trebing showed me this location on the NS Brooklyn Sub (ex-Wabash) which features a Wabash-style searchlight signal. Alas, I visited this location again only two weeks after this photo was taken and discovered that new signals have been installed alongside this one. Time, and progress, marches on. As do our Veterans!
