Caney Fork & Western 106, and sister unit 105 are sitting cold on the out skirts of Tullahoma, TN on the former NC&StL Sparta, Branch which run 61 miles northeast from Tullahoma to Sparta, TN. CF&W 106 is one of seven operated motive power on the Caney Fork & Western. The 106 started its life in 1951 on the NC&StL Railroad and seen a change of hands in 3 decades til it was retired by CSX. The locomotive showed up on the Caney Fork & Western years later as one of the work horse mostly used on the line.
