Central Maine & Quebec's Bangor & Aroostook heritage tribute unit is posed for a night roster view of the conductor's side of the unit on the afternoon of November 7. Some will notice the lack of silver trucks and underframe - absent from the scheme as applied by the BAR when this scheme was the norm. Due to the cost of the fourth paint color and what would have amounted to an extra day in the shop, we opted for a simplified version, thus the tribute versus a true heritage scheme.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
