On P&W's last Halloween as an independent shortline, local CT-1 rolls north from Cedar Hill to Middletown on the old New Haven Air Line with three four-motor GEs (including the sole B23-7 on the roster) and three cars.
This location only 10 miles from Cedar Hill Yard at the East Center St. crossing offers a surprisingly rural New England tableau on this fine fall day. The independent P&W will surely be missed, but these rails of the late great NYNH&H will continue to be burnished by steel wheels.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
