An eastbound Conrail manifest rolls past the site of the Lehigh Valley’s Calypso Yard in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The need for Calypso was eliminated when the Jersey Central pulled out of Pennsylvania in 1972, giving the Lehigh Valley full control of the much larger Allentown yard. Today the land is occupied by the manufacturing plant of a firm than makes doors for the building trade.
