Passing through the damp plowed field just south of Lake Cormorant CN G87670-17 is about to go under US highway 61 in the Mississippi Delta Country making on the CN Yahzoo Sub. Since the early 90s upgrade, the Illinois Central had did a wide range of track work replacing the almost 218 plus rail-miles of jointed rails, with welded rails, and the installation of CTC signaling was completed as well.
