Remarks & Notes
Pere Marquette 1225 an 2-8-4 steam locomotive is seen here passing the famous Carland Elevator on a beautiful November morning. Though PM 1225 was the inspiration behind the book "The Polar Express" and provided audio for the movie by the same name, the Steam Railroading Institute does not have the rights to use the name for their holiday themed train which is instead called The North Pole Express. Making a short jopurney from Owosso to Ashley Michigan and back. 11/26/16
