The end of an era... On July 30, Norfolk Southern ran its last train across the NS Princeton-Deepwater District from Alloy Yard in Deepwater, W.Va., south to Elmore Yard in Mullens, W.Va. When the brakes were applied in Elmore and the track authority was released, Watco began taking over operations on the route as part of its new Kanawha River Railroad.
