By August of 1977 the three remaining Penn Central E7s in North Jersey Coast Line service were real railfan favorites that everyone was trying to shoot. I, being 15 and using the commuter trains themselves for transportation, wasn't very good at finding them. So when this one pulled off train 3314 for the South Amboy engine change it was a great find. I would get a couple more shots of them in action before they were parked out of service, but this was my cleanest one.
