A Mid-American Christmas As the clouds break away on this Christmas Evening, the last bit of sunlight shine on the Old Death Star and a pair of "Canadian power" especially the rarely seen in east Tennessee. The clock was ticking, and now as the Mobile, AL bound NS 42A is officially plan out of Chattanooga as of 16:00 hour (4pm) this evening. It was gonna be almost two days before the wheels started to turn on this loaded grain train bound for the gulf coast for export. It's amazing even 18 years later after being acquired by the Canadian National Railway, the Illinois Central image, and name still run strong even in the 21st Century of railroading.
