Remarks & Notes
The Spud Local's abbreviated train rolls west out of Quincy on the passing siding after working the town. It just met an eastbound Z train, and will stop at the signal to meet a second eastbound Z that was dispatched on the tail of the first one from Wenatchee. It is unusual for the local to have only a single unit. The previous week it was running a Heritage I GP50 with a former ATSF GP40X.
