Remarks & Notes
The Iowa Interstate Railroad's second Rock Island inspired locomotive sits outside the facility that painted it, Mid-America Car, as one of their plant switchers goes about its business. I have to say, I wasn't pleased initially with the looks of this thing, but seeing it in person it's an eye catcher.

It's also worth noting that MAC's #92 was built in May 1951, serial number frame number for the Missouri Pacific as #9175. It was later renumbered MP 1237. It was retired by the Union Pacific and sold to Mid-America Car on 3-19-1984, and leased to Kansas City Power & Light as #1237. It was returned to MAC in 1992, numbered 92, and is used as one of 2 shop switchers, complimenting their SW1, MALX 82.
