Still in primer awaiting its turn for a coat of famous yellow paint, UP 2533 sits outside Mid-America Car, and was at the time UP's newest locomotive on the roster (and by default their newest GE). Coupled nose to nose with it, UP 9100 is the oldest GE on the UP roster, the first C40-8 ever built in fact, a graduate of GE Erie, PA in November 1987 with a builder number of 45549.
For once a thought that detailed occurred to me as I was actually looking at the subject, rather than now as I write the caption. I'm not sure which is better.
Postscript: UP 9100 was retired by the system on 9-17-15.
