Unlike Southern Pacific's glamorous Daylight passenger trains that once raced along these very tracks drawing the attention of railfans during their years of operation, 2017's draw for railfans on the coast line has now turned to freight trains traveling the line during the daylight hours. This morning's passage of the southbound, 48-car loaded oil cans are no exception as they enter Emma Wood State Beach.
