Remarks & Notes
A Wrinkle In Time. Built in 1875, The "Eureka" a wood burning 4-4-0 from Nevada's long gone Eureka and Palisade Railroad meets her 50 year younger, but larger coal burning sister, a Denver and Rio Grande Western K-36 2-8-2 No.486. Here, Eureka has taken the wye to allow the northbound to pass, as 486 begins to accelerate from a flag stop here to drop off hikers.
