CSX 6462 leads an eastbound past retired NJ Cabin, junction of lines to Columbus and Cincinnati west of Russell. C&O called its towers "cabins" and, if truth be known, it was an apt description as these places afforded some of the best and most atmospheric jobs on the railroad at one time. The road had an interesting signal system with attractive signal bridges and cantilevers, and seemed to favor leaving signals at control points so that I'd wager C&O had more signals per mile than any railroad outside of commuter territories. Note the old train order signal mast by the cabin.
