Remarks & Notes
A pair of DM&E GP40's bring CP Train B91-19 under the Milwaukee Road vintage searchlight signal bridge at the north end of the Truman Drawbridge. They ran light out of KCS Knoche Yard to Liberty, MO where they fetched 20 autoracks for Knoche.

The 4002 is no stranger to this line, for it was originally built in April 1970 as CRIP 4712, builder number 36398, frame number 7263-13. The Rock Island had trackage rights at this point on the MILW, for this is the south end of the "Spine Line", of which the southern end was once shared between the two. The 4002 also spent time after the shutdown as UP 643, and was was leased to NdeM from 10-1989 to 6-1990. It was stored unserviceable at Fort Worth, Texas, sold to National Railway Equipment on 10-9-1991 before being sold to Cedar American Rail Holdings in 9-1994 for use on the DM&E. This unit used to carry Operation Lifesaver markings, but today still carries those applied for the 1986-2006 20th Anniversary. SD40-3 #6094 also got the same treatment.

The trailing unit is also a GP40, built as MKT 181 in August 1966, builder number 32133, frame number 5713-8. It went back to the builder upon lease expiration and into the Electro-Motive Lease fleet as EMDX 181 before being sold to the DM&E in 1993. It is also not likely a stranger here, since run through freights from the Katy to the MILW and later the SOO used to ply these same rails.
