Street Running - Alaska Style

This is as close as you can get to street running in Alaska as a yard engine trundles back south beside 1st Ave after spotting three cars at a customer at the end of the industrial lead. It's just after 4 PM in the Last Frontier and the sun is nearly gone.

An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)

Not just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.

I'm surprised the photographer was able to click the shutter on his/her camera for these pictures; it looks so cold.
